PET bottles have become an essential part of modern life. From food and beverages to cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, PET packaging is widely used across industries due to its safety, durability, and lightweight properties. But how are these diverse and functional bottles produced efficiently? The answer lies in the PET blow molding machine.
A PET blow molding machine is specialized equipment designed to manufacture PET bottles in various shapes and sizes. Its working principle is simple yet highly efficient: PET preforms are heated to the proper forming temperature, then expanded under high-pressure air and precisely shaped inside customized molds to create finished bottles with consistent quality.
The body of the PET preform is evenly heated to the optimal forming temperature to ensure uniform material distribution. The bottle neck, which is already formed, remains cooled during this stage to maintain dimensional stability.
The heated preform is transferred into the mold cavity. High-pressure compressed air is injected through the stretch rod, stretching the preform both vertically and horizontally until it fully conforms to the mold wall.
Once the bottle is fully formed and cooled, air pressure is released and the finished bottle is automatically removed from the mold.
The completed PET bottles are transported via conveyor systems to the next workstation for collection, inspection, or further packaging.
